Things to do at Twin Rivers Cabins and RV Park

Hiking, camping, fishing, hunting, swimming, golfing or just hang out with your dog in our new 10,000 square-foot fenced dog park. There’s plenty of things to do.

Oh, and then there’s cooking, horseshoes, the world famous Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad steam train rides, walking, talking, reading, writing, or just doing nothin’ at all.

You can have it all!

Twin Rivers Cabins and RV Park facilities include a large screened pavilion, a small Conejos River tributary creek for fishing and swimming.

There’s lots of space for kids to explore and hiking for the adults.

The Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad is a guest favorite. This is America’s most spectacular, longest, highest, narrow gauge steam railroad still operating. The train will take you on a true adventure back in time as it meanders through 64 miles of awesome peaks and valleys of the scenic Rockies. The train passes through tunnels, gorges and breathtaking vistas.

This a fisherman’s paradise with hundreds of miles of public rivers, streams and lakes.  18 miles of Colorado designated Quality Water. There are dozens of high country lakes that produce excellent fishing. Platoro Reservoir is the highest man made reservoir in the United States.

If hunting is your favorite sport Twin Rivers Cabins and RV Park is an ideal “base camp” to hunt from.  With the high percentage of public lands and mountainous terrain, big game it’s no wonder hunting is popular throughout Conejos River Country. Because of the abundance of ideal habitat many trophies are taken each year.  With so much opportunity so close by, why not find your trophy elk or mule deer here?

If you are into golfing you can play our new 9 hole chip and put, par 3, practice golf course. Long shot is 64 yards over the river!

Biking, horseback riding and driving are all excellent activities on the array of mountain roads and trails. Here you will find unparalleled scenic beauty, through rugged terrain, into hidden glades and valleys.

The wildlife is incredible too! The area boasts a large population of deer, elk, bear, eagles and a wide variety of birds which you can view in their wild habitat.
We just added a 10,000 square foot fenced dog park so Fido can run free!* * (Owners must be in attendance.)

Come visit us at Twin Rivers Cabins and RV Park and enjoy all that Conejos River Country has to offer!
